Tal and Greetings
I felt I had to add My two tarns worth into the issue
of FreeWomen both on all of Gor V/T and in My home of
Gorean Shores....I for One has never been a slave for
any length of time. (It has not been said that I have...
I just thought I would state it for the record... *S*)
I entered the Shores as Free, learned carefully the
customs and ways and then pledged My life and talents
to this place and call it Home.
Slaves who are freed by their Masters are considered Free
with all the respect due to the title in the books and
in some of the V/T sites but in the Shore there is a ruling
of once a slave always a slave.
I pledged My life and loyality to My Home and do not take
this vow lightly. I may not always agree with decisions
made by the Council but when I made My pledge I agreed
to abide by ALL decisions They made not only the ones I
agreed with so if They say that once a slave always a
slave then I abide with that decision....
I know that there are W/women W/who come to My home W/who
have been slaves before and some of which W/who have
served in the Tavern as slaves but the Council has not
acted upon T/them in any way that I have seen for whatever
Thier reasons...
I will follow Their lead and do nothing. For as I see
it is not My place but Thiers to act. If They bann
T/them then I will uphold Thier decision. I personally
would like to see a post saying to A/all W/who is not to
be afforded the respect of the title of Freewoman so it
would end all discussions of W/who is W/what??? I would
hate to be a slave in the Tavern these days not knowing
whether or not to say Mistress or sister.... ~smiling~ but
again that is not My decision ~shruggs~
As far as attending Forums with T/these W/women... T/they
have been through some things on Gor that I have not and
as such have more knowledge than I do on some areas...
so I feel that I for one can benefit from T/thier knowledge
and will attend with respect of T/thier knowledge and
learn how to maybe avoid some of the pitfalls that T/they
T/themselves have fallen into.... I am not so vain that I
feel I can not learn from A/anyboby else whether it be
slave or FW or any mixture thereof *S*.... I will leave
the running of things to Those best suited for that and
will do My deadlevel best to be the best FreeWoman that
I can be....
