: : Greetings goreans and poolies alike, its time to “pool” together, poolsidechat is the home of every registered member not just the home of GaryM, galah feels it is time that WE help him with the expense of keeping OUR home here for US. Yes, we all pay our memberships so you think you have done your part….well, look around, for most other sites charge about $35 for a 6 month registration as opposed to poolsidechat at $36 for a full year….now, galah has a plan how we can help GaryM at others expense, lets let others pay the tab for the continuation of our home. : : One site she knows of right now is having a raffle, and expecting their members to shell out $10 a ticket or $25 for three tickets…now that is a bloody nightmare for those of us that live overseas with currency exchange problems…. besides, galah feels that’s a lot of expense to be expected to put out besides the $35 for 6 months membership that this particular other site charges…well, enough of this, on with THE PLAN : : This one has opened an eBay Account in the name of poolsidechat, IF we all donate an item (and believe me, most anything sells on eBay) something we would just as leave get rid of anyway, and list it under this open account for poolsidechat, then the winning bidder would pay GaryM for the item, YOU would have the minor expense of the postage of the item after the money is collected by GaryM, and the responsibility of posting the item to the winning bidder when GaryM says the item has been paid for, galah can’t say she has every little bug of this plan worked out but if we pool together, any bugs can be worked out I’m sure….galah has started the account by donating a copy of Vagabonds of Gor, so any not familiar with eBay can go to www.ebay.com and type Vagabonds of Gor into the search, locate the one that says Star Pub. to see how the auctions look….ANYONE(registered member) or ALL that would like to donate to such a worthy cause can contact galah or Rollo~the~Ax for the password to list an item, can be contacted in poolsides Gorean Shores or at this email docida@kewl.com.au …galah would be more than happy to help you if you have never listed things in auction before…..hints: if possible, attach picture to the auction, things ALWAYS sell better with a picture, always describe the item with utmost honesty as if you were the buyer bidding on something you can not see. : : PLEASE help galah with this effort and btw, GaryM knows nothing about this, well….maybe he does by now but he had nothing to do with any part of this PLAN, galah don’t wish any to think that he is trying to get anything extra from us, this was her idea! : :I dont know what to say, but I am very grateful for your efforts, galah. : I have to regretfully decline any help from this plan. The U.S. has strict laws governing what is deemed as "Charitable donations", and who, exactly, is eligable to receive them. : Because the Pool isn't structured as a non-profit organization, we cant draw income that way. What we really need is new signups. : Thank you for being so egar to help. Your effort is definately taken to heart and I think is a wonderful gesture. : Hugs :
